a bit of lincoln green history
All successful residential communities have one attribute in common—a great location. Lincoln Green has that in spades. Originally conceived as a unique 616-unit residential community of one- and two-bedroom apartments, Lincoln Green is situated in an exceptional setting. It's built on a beautiful 45-acre tract that was formerly a farm located right next door to Guilford Courthouse National Military Park and two city parks—totaling 500+ acres of permanent parkland. The location is highly accessible and convenient to an ever-increasing number of quality retail, restaurants and service establishments.
As Greensboro residents and citizens, Lincoln Green's original developers—still its owners today—have a keen interest in building and maintaining a community that will be the Piedmont Triad's very best.
Local ownership is an important distinction in a market where a growing number of apartment communities are owned by remote corporate entities. We follow an owner/manager philosophy, which simply means that we make decisions that reflect our long term ownership horizon. After all, we have been involved at Lincoln Green from the very beginning.
National Awards/Recognition
Lincoln Green is the 2004 winner of the prestigious Paragon Award. The Paragon Award honors the best apartment communities in America, judged and deemed models of excellence by the National Apartment Association (NAA). [Eligibility for the award is limited to once every five years.]
Local Awards/Recognition
In 2000, 2002 and 2004, Lincoln Green was given the Diamond Award as Community of the Year by the Triad Apartment Association (TAA). [Recipients are not eligible to win two years in a row.] The TAA is a nonprofit trade organization serving a 12-county area dedicated to promoting professionalism and active participation in local, state and national legislative issues affecting the multifamily housing industry.
Greensboro Beautiful Inc., gave Lincoln Green the Business Landscape Award, with a perfect score of 100, in August 2005. One of the organization's many activities is to be aware of landscaping of area businesses, facilities and commercial properties, and to select properties their qualified judges consider outstanding.
